Brian A. Becker, J.D., CFP®
A native of Atlanta, founding attorney Brian Becker attended a small private school in Buckhead before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Spanish and History. Fluent in Spanish, he studied abroad in Barcelona focusing on Spanish philosophy, literature, and the Catalan language. He received his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University where he served as a mediator in the Fulton County Magistrate Court’s Landlord-Tenant Program. After law school, Brian continued his education by enrolling in Oglethorpe University’s Personal Financial Planner program. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, having passed the July 2011 CFP® certification exam. He continues to serve as a mediator for Fulton and DeKalb Counties.
After working at a small estate planning firm in Buford, Georgia, Brian opened The Becker Law Firm to provide personalized care to his clients. The Becker Law Firm’s focus is wills, trusts and estates, succession planning, business entity formation, business transactions, and mediation in metro Atlanta. Having long been involved with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s Wills on Wheels program, Brian furthered his desire to help his clients and provide them a high level of service. This has become the cornerstone of The Becker Law Firm’s philosophy.
When Brian is not working, he enjoys playing golf and riding his bike near the Chattahoochee River. He also serves on the Planning Committee for the Balser Symposium for Professional Advisors, an annual meeting of financial advisors, CPAs, attorneys, and other financial planners to discuss current trends in financial planning, charitable giving, and estate planning.
